Bayam or Klaroen
Sow in a seedbed from mid-March to late July. Transplant in rows or rows. Line spacing 25 cm and in rows 5 cm. When the plant is approx. 25 cm
high, cut off above ground and allow to regrow.
Bayam can be braised, boiled or stir-fried. The flavour is similar to spinach but a little softer. Apart from the leaves, the young stems are also edible.
