Aster 'Jenny' grows about 30-40 cm. high and flowers red from August to October. This species belongs to the Dumosus group and grows cushion-shaped. 'Jenny' sometimes blooms so profusely that the whole plant is covered in flowers. These blooms start in August and can persist into October. The flowers are heavily visited by butterflies. 'Jenny' also does well planted in pots. Asters grow excellently in normal garden soil. A sunny position is preferred but some shade is tolerated. They also tolerate some drought.
